Early stage pneumonia

Early stage pneumonia affecting part of the lung of a sheep infected with Blue Tongue Virus. Note the generalized congestion of the pulmonary parenchyma, which appears intensely reddish and densified, with retraction of the pulmonary surface and diminished crepitation in the affected areas.
